Meet the Founders

Adam and Beverly Ward are the husband-and-wife team behind OnWard Media, LLC. Adam is a pastor, banker, broadcaster, and entrepreneur who has spent more than 14 years behind the microphone serving the communities he calls home. His professional radio career included more than 12 years as Production Director and Operations Manager of The FUN Media Group, Inc.

His connection to high school sports broadcasting began with the Red Devil Radio Show, where he served as a sideline reporter for two seasons before taking over as the program's play-by-play voice in 2014. He continues in that role today, entering his 15th season as part of the Friday night broadcast crew.

Along the way, Adam has been honored as the Alabama Broadcasters Association Sportscaster of the Year four times, recognizing him among the state's top radio play-by-play announcers.

In February 2026, Adam stepped away from the radio industry in a full-time capacity to focus more intentionally on his calling as a husband and father.

At Adam's side throughout this journey is his wife, Beverly. A dental hygienist by day, Beverly brings more than support to the company — she is an integral part of the vision, the decisions, and the future of what OnWard Media is becoming.

From the beginning, Adam understood the importance of Beverly being part of the vision for OnWard Media. Through prayer, thoughtful conversations, and careful consideration as husband and wife, Adam and Beverly chose to embrace this opportunity together.

Beverly serves as a conscience and guide for the company, bringing wisdom, perspective, and a steady reminder of the faith and values at the foundation of everything they do. Her voice matters, her perspective is valued, and her influence helps shape the decisions and direction of the company.

OnWard Media, LLC is built on the strength of this family, the faith they share, and the values they live. Beverly's support and partnership make it all possible.

Drew Sims is a husband to Kylie and father to Clara and Margaret. A Fort Payne native, Drew is a 2017 Fyffe graduate and a 2025 University of Tennessee graduate who currently serves as Materials Process Manager at Heil Environmental.

Drew worked alongside Adam on Friday nights as a sideline reporter for what was then the Red Devil Radio Show, serving for four years on the broadcast crew before stepping away to better serve his growing family. During those years together on the sideline, Drew and Adam built a friendship and a shared understanding of what great local media can mean to a community.

That Sunday afternoon phone call in October of 2025 is where the idea for OnWard Media began. Drew currently serves on the Media Ministry team at Nazareth Baptist Church.
