Telling Northeast Alabama's Story

What began as a simple Sunday afternoon phone call between Drew Sims and Adam Ward in October of 2025 turned into something much bigger than either man had planned.

Both had spent years side by side on Friday nights - Drew as a sideline reporter and Adam as the play-by-play voice of the Fyffe Red Devils. Through those years of shared experience behind microphones, soundboards, and production equipment, they recognized a growing need. Northeast Alabama deserved a high-quality, locally owned media company built on strong Christian values and a genuine commitment to excellence.

Many conversations and prayers followed over the next several months. Both Adam and Drew knew from the beginning that this would not move forward without Adam's wife Beverly being fully on board. After fruitful prayer and discussion together as husband and wife, Adam and Beverly agreed to go into partnership with Drew and begin this journey together. In April of 2026, that vision became a reality with the formation of OnWard Media, LLC.

One of the company's first major milestones came with the acquisition of the long-running Red Devil Radio Show, which was expanded and transformed into the Red Devil Sports Network. Coverage grew beyond football to include basketball, baseball, and softball. New technology, improved production quality, expanded programming, and greater opportunities for community partnerships were introduced.

OnWard Media, LLC is guided by the principle found in Philippians 3:13-14, pressing forward and reaching toward what lies ahead. That verse is not simply a motto. It describes the spirit behind everything this company does.

We exist to serve Northeast Alabama - DeKalb County, Jackson County, and every community in between - with professional media that reflects the values of the people we call home. Faith. Family. Hard work. Excellence. Community.

OnWard Media was created to serve DeKalb and Jackson counties, as well as all of Northeast Alabama. We saw a growing need for positive, uplifting media content that highlights the successes of the communities we love. Whether through high school athletics, local events, church gatherings, commercial production, or broadcasting, OnWard Media desires to partner with you.

At the end of the day, it is about the kids. It is about giving student-athletes the chance to hear their name called, to feel the pride of their community, and to have their hard work and memories preserved for years to come. We are more than a sports network. We are a local media company built by people who love this area and want to see it represented with integrity and excellence.

As we continue to grow, we are developing new services including video production and marketing, music and entertainment, and podcast offerings - bringing even more professional media options to the communities we serve.
